Hi nurses! Here’s something to rouse your consciousness. Late last year I was luckily hired by an institution. Before I began my probationary training in the hospital, I was made to read a considerably long list of nursing measures and guidelines to assure the safety of the patient as well as mine. But when I started training I didn’t really saw these guidelines being carried out by the staff and the hospital.
I found out it was only for formality’s sake that I was made to read all those guidelines; bogus guidelines. I was out there on my own, guarding my every move cause a single mistake might cost the patient’s life—-or mine.
