Their US Working Visas

The other day I was flabbergasted learning that my colleague together with 18 other nurses are scheduled to fly to the US in the next two weeks. Just as I thought that the hiring of foreign nurses in the US has been stopped; their working visa applications has been approved. I really regretted it ’cause my friend persistently persuade me to take the NCLEX-RN with her but I took her efforts lightly.
My friend together with the 18 other nurses are all NCLEX-RN passers; I tried to apply to the agency where they are affiliated but my application was denied because I haven’t passed the NCLEX yet. Right now I’m working on my NCLEX-RN application in the sheer hope that I may also be granted the chance that my friend and her group are enjoying right now.
What I’m worried is that my Nursing knowledge is quite “rusted” already; of course, nurses know how hard the NCLEX-RN is. Just wondering and posting, if, perhaps, anyone here in the blogosphere have any suggestions regarding an effective means of reviewing…

I wonder how these nurses got through with H1B…Are they MSN educated in the USA? Are they advanced practitioners? If they are not, then good luck on their citizenship application someday…The past will haunt you. The quickest way isn’t always the best. It’s best to wait for the perfect time.

Hi amazed! These nurses are NCLEX-RN passers, therefore, they could legally practice their profession in the US. They are not advanced practitioners nor MSN’s. While it’s best to wait for the perfect time, it’s wise to grab any opportunity that come our way. That’s how, i think, they view things too. As nurses here in the Philippines, a job opportunity abroad is more like a blessing; so we are not really engrossed about the downside of the deal; its more like poverty taught us to become optimistic…
Thanks for posting!
